Keen on Pipes & Steak

Speaking of history and pipes, if you happen to be around 36th and 6th in Manhattan, we highly advise dropping into Keens Steakhouse for a cocktail and a steak.  Located in the same building since 1885, this pipe and chophouse was popular among the theatre set back when the Theatre District was located in Herald Square.

With an amazing amount of Americana, Keens also boasts over ninety thousand names on the membership rolls of the Pipe Club, including the likes of Teddy Roosevelt, Babe Ruth, Will Rogers, Billy Rose, Grace Moore, Albert Einstein, George M. Cohan, J.P. Morgan, Stanford White, John Barrymore, David Belasco, Adlai Stevenson, General Douglas MacArthur and “Buffalo Bill” Cody.
